Buying and upgrading
Open your current Solar Fire and select About to find your version and registration details. Have these ready when purchasing your upgrade.

Describe what you wanted to do, the steps you took and the result you received. Include the software version/build, operating system and any error message. A relevant screenshot or example can help explain the issue; avoid including unrelated client information.
Guides, updates and common questions
Astrolabe's existing support site links to documentation, updates and knowledge-base material. Check the version covered before following a procedure. Earlier Windows or disc-installation instructions may not apply to Solar Fire X. The program includes context sensitive help, which means that clicking the F1 key while in a particular screen will open up the appropriate part of the manual.

What can I do with Solar Fire X?
Calculate and compare charts, follow transits and progressions, explore locations with Solar Maps, examine midpoints in Symmetry, and prepare chart pages and reports. Explore the feature pages for the tools used in your practice.
How do I move from Windows or Parallels to Mac?
Make your Solar Fire 9 library folder or ZIP available on your Mac. In Solar Fire X, choose Utilities → Import Charts, Files, and Settings, select what to bring across and review the results. Your original files stay unchanged.
Can I customize charts and layouts?
Wheel and page design tools let you configure presentation. Point and aspect choices help focus a comparison on the material you need to examine.
Are written interpretations included for every point?
Text coverage depends on the supplied interpretation set and context.
Will it work on my computer?
Solar Fire X has Windows and native Mac versions.
Can I bring my Solar Fire 9 files across?
Yes. Use the built-in migration utility to select charts, files and settings from your Solar Fire library folder or ZIP. Review the import results while keeping your original files unchanged.
